Your old computers are gathering dust?

When it comes time to get rid of computer equipment, several options are available:

  • Garbage = Bad
  • Recycling = Good
  • Give them to “Computers for schools” = Better

The “Computers for Schools” program gives a second life to your computer hardware. A computer that is not powerful enough for you is probably good enough for the use made by an elementary or a high school student.

The equipment received will be refurbished by students in training to then be distributed to schools and non-profit organizations with a learning focus. This is beneficial for the environment, social development, education and the local economy. Everybody wins!

Data security

Organizations that provide computers to the program “Computers for Schools” can do so with a clear conscience. The LRTS (La Relance Technology Service) has the highest standards when it comes to data wiping security. Our procedures are approved by the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) and tested every two years.

You’ll find below a brief summary of our procedures related to Hard Drives received. For more information or to visit, please contact us.

Procedures

If we want to reuse the Hard Drive… 7 PASS DATE WIPING (KillDisk program)
